Equalization and Eligibility rules 2024 season

Our goal is to put everyone on equal racing field, we need participation from all racers to help us get to that goal, track owners want competitive races for their fans and we want cars mostly in the same lap and we need to try to get to that goal fairly for everyone. If your car wins 2 consecutive features by (distance from start /finish line to corner 4 starting cone) than second place car you will lower your rev limiter by 100 rpm’s of your max rpm of the second race that you won even if you are within your engines rpm rule.  That new setting will be confirmed by tech inspector and recorded. RPMs, weighting of car and or engine restrictor plate could be the next speed adjustment if required.

 You must attend and drive your car at a minimum of 2 test and tune days at Flamboro or track we are associated with before racing any of our sanctioned races. Also, on race night you must participate in at least one practice to be eligible to race that night. (One buy night)

PENALTIES

RPM overage —   Zero points for event and payout for last position.

Aggressive driving determined by flagman or club safety officials— loss of 5 positions of that race and paid accordingly. Can also revoke the right to drive with our organization.

LINE UP RULES

HEAT LINE UP; DRAW POSITION, new drivers, rookies (rookies determined by finished races not 1st year racing as we only have 8 race nights) back of line up, any driver can request back of pack.

FEATURE LINE UP; First Night    Heat finish, top same lap drivers reverse order, followed by balance of cars in finish order.

ALL OTHER FEATURE NIGHTS; All cars on lead lap of previous feature race reverse position, following cars that are one lap down line up in finish order. If you finished 2 laps down in the previous feature race you are not automatically in this nights feature but you can earn a back position by finishing no lower than one lap down in heat race of event you are attending.  PLUS {Everyone will get one free gimme to the feature per year}  * Eight cars will always be in the feature !

Race Starts and Restarts;

Race starts all cars are in 2 rows side by side, after tire warm ups are done, when we are given the 1 lap to go  (no scrubbing tires) all cars tighten up behind the front row cars, when the pace truck pulls off, the same speed resumes til the 2 front cars reach the orange cone in turn 4 , if they are side by side and the flag man waves the green flag the race is on, but if one driver jumps the start, that driver goes to the very back of pack, and the row that driver was in moves up to the front for the start. When the start is good no passing can happen til you cross the start finish line unless the car in front of you has a problem or asleep.

Restarts; In the event of a restart (after lap 1) top 3 drivers are single file (not staggered) single file in a row, balance of drivers are 2 side by side and tighten up on the 1 lap to go signal, when the pace truck pulls off the leader holds the pace truck speed til turn 4 orange cone, all top 3 cars must be in position, not staggered, green flag waves, no car can pass til past orange cone. (any one that jumps goes to very back of the pack) all other cars move up that one position.

EXITING RACE TRACK: Only when track is under caution!  That is for practice, heats or Race. All other times go to infield and wait for caution or end of race.
